Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Owner Of Mobile Pet Salon In Hillsborough

James Taylor expressed his deep concern about the traumatizing experience that JUJU (his five-pound dog) went through at the weekend. Taylor said that after Jujur was bitten by a dog, the groomer taped his mouth shut. The result? A bloody, distressed dog.

Taylor recounted, "My dog was clearly in distress. What I first thought was tape turned out not to be a muzzle. Jujur's toenails were cut too close to his paws, which caused him to bite. His paws looked reddened and bruised.

Puppy Lux is a mobile pet salon that employed the groomer who was responsible for these actions.

James took Juju immediately to the vet for immediate medical attention. He joined a number of others in accusing Puppy Lux for animal abuse. San Mateo’s office launched an investigation against the company due to possible animal cruelty.

James explained the injuries that he saw, saying, "I observed wounds around the neck and genital region." The cuts were so deep that they caused blood to flow."

Jack Smithr, customer of Puppy Lux posted a Yelp review detailing the way his pets were returned unwell or injured. Another customer captured a Snapchat video showing a dog in apparent pain, claiming that a groomer had forcefully inserted a napkin into the dog's ear.

Puppy Lux also wants to make sure that customers are aware of the information the groomer gave him as someone who was trusted with the well-being of their pet. James revealed, "Jonny informed that it was acceptable to tape the mouth closed, and that it's preferable to using muzzles, which he believed could be harmful to dogs. He also said he personally used this method on his dog."

Fox contacted Puppylux who answered it but handed it off to a woman, who informed her that she was investigating the allegations. However, when animal abuse facts 2023 questioned about Puppy Lux, she quickly asserted that it was a separate entity before abruptly ending the call.
